More than half of all Germans live in rural areas, which accounts for 90% of the total area of Germany. Therefore it is important to pay special attention to it in our work.

New target groups and uncommon places

Through our work we would like to connect people with topics with which they have little experience in. In order to achieve our goal, we are taking new paths and using innovative methods.

Food – regional, fair, global

We sensitize towards challenges in regional and global agriculture and support sustainable ways of food consumption.

Universities and global sustainability

Higher Education Institutions educate the decision-makers of the future. They do research and have an impact on society. Sustainability is therefore crucial for the whole institution university. We initiate and accompany the efforts made towards increasing knowledge of sustainability within the Higher Education sector.

Intercultural opening

Germany is culturally diverse. Topics of environment and development concern everyone who lives here. finep supports intercultural development and environmental policy.

Training: sharing our knowledge

Our diverse fields of expertise provide an immense benefit in conceptualising training and capacity building courses. We are specialised in adult education in the context of global learning and capacity building for local authorities. We are interested in expanding our knowledge and competence on Casual Learning.

Regional and local development

Municipalities and their citizens are crucial to a sustainable global development. We connect local authorities with civil society and support sustainable developments on local base.
