Call for Proposals "Knowledge.Engagement.Climate"

As part of the “Knowledge.Engagement.Climate” (NPB2025/mid) Call for Proposals, finep awards funding to Civil Society Organisations.

WHO IS FUNDED: Non-profit Civil Society Organisations based in Germany.

WHAT IS FUNDED:

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) projects

Requirements for project applications:

The projects must…

a) … promote the engagement of less committed persons and institutions (especially young people aged 15 to 30)

b) …strengthen trust in science and impact

c) …highlight the global dimension of climate change

d) …be rooted in the area of non-formal education

e) …adopt a clear gender perspective

f) …be broadly effective

Funding amount & own contribution:

  • Grant: € 25,000 – 35,000 (90 % of the project costs)
  • Own contribution: 10 %, can be provided by third-party funds (except EU funds)

Project duration:

  • Start: from 01.03.2026
  • Duration: 12-16 months, until 30.06.2027 at the latest

Two-stage application procedure:

  1. Phase 1: Project outline by 22.09.2025, 5:00 pm
  2. Phase 2: Full proposal (only upon positive evaluation), by 11.12.2025, 5:00 p.m.
