Call for Applications “Young Global Citizens”

As part of the “Young Global Citizens” (GD2025) call for applications, the finep academy awards grants to small civil society organisations.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING: Small non-profit civil society organisations based in Germany with total annual expenditure of less than €100,000.

WHAT IS FUNDED:

Projects in Global Citizenship Education (GCE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

Requirements for project applications:

The projects must…

a) … promote the engagement of marginalised and disadvantaged young people (aged 15 to 30).

b) … actively engage young people through innovative methods of Global Citizenship Education (GCE).

c) … make visible the structures between the Global North and the Global South.

d) …be rooted in the area of non-formal education

e) … integrate perspectives on gender equality.

Funding amount:

  • Funding: €5,000 (100% of project costs)

No co-financing required – full funding is provided through the EU grant.

Project duration:

  • Start: from 1 February 2026 at the earliest
  • Duration: 4–12 months, with projects to be completed by 31 January 2027 at the latest.
