The Council for Development Cooperation (REZ) advises the state government of Baden-Württemberg on the implementation of the development policy guidelines. The REZ is made up of representatives from various development policy and civil society organisations as well as the Protestant and Catholic churches. Since the beginning of 2020, the REZ office has been managed by the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ).
Since that date, finep has been facilitating meetings, retreats, and both technical and political discussions of the REZ on behalf of SEZ, while also advising on processes, objectives, and methods. The external facilitation by finep creates greater clarity among participants regarding roles and goals. Increased efficiency has led to higher satisfaction among all involved.
