Water of the Future
Making the role of water in the climate crisis visible

The DEAR project Water of the Future was dedicated to the importance of water in the climate crisis, in particular the often invisible aspects such as virtual water and the water footprint.

As part of the project, innovative approaches were developed to make the topics of virtual water and water footprint tangible:
- Mobile exhibitions, a toolbox and a light installation were developed and were available for hire with financial support.
- Further training for municipal employees on combining climate protection and youth participation.
- The Youth Congress on 29 February 2024 in Nürtingen brought together young people, public administration and policymakers to jointly develop solutions for climate justice.
- The project was accompanied by an extensive communication campaign that highlighted the issue of water in the climate crisis.
