Fair Toys Organization (FTO) is committed to fair working conditions and humane production standards in the global toy industry. Together with companies, civil society and politicians, FTO promotes social responsibility along the supply chain. FTO is seeking third-party funding as an additional financial pillar and required research to find suitable financiers.
FTO emerged from a multi-stakeholder initiative within a partnership project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and has since become a registered association under the auspices of the Romero Initiative (CIR). In light of declining funding, the withdrawal of one cooperation partner from the BMZ project, and insufficient income from membership fees, FTO is seeking third-party funding as an additional financial pillar to ensure institutional sustainability. Together with FTO, finep defined the criteria, researched potential funding opportunities, compiled an overview, and developed strategic recommendations for a final presentation.
