Project development on climate protection and climate change in Bolivia
Kindernothilfe is a Christian humanitarian organisation working worldwide to protect and promote the rights of children – particularly those in need of special protection. In cooperation with KNH’s partner organisation in Bolivia, finep supported the development of a project proposal for a BMZ funding programme intended for NGOs (“private Träeger”).

The planned project “Proyecto Pachamama – Indigenous Children and Youth in Climate Action” aims to empower children, young people and their communities to apply climate change mitigation and adaptation measures and thus increase the resilience of their communities. As part of a four-day on-site proposal workshop, finep facilitated a structured process to analyse needs, define project objectives, and plan suitable measures. Afterwards, finep supported the completion of the application. By combining sound facilitation with the close involvement of the partner organisation, a participatory and convincing project proposal was developed, aiming to address the impacts of climate change in Bolivia.
