Project development and indicator workshop to strengthen the inclusion of children with intellectual disabilities in South Africa
Kindernothilfe is a Christian humanitarian organisation that campaigns for the protection and rights of children worldwide – especially children with special protection needs. Together with a partner organisation in South Africa, finep worked on the development of a project application as part of the BMZ’s funding programme for NGOs.

The planned project sought to strengthen inclusion and protection for children with intellectual disabilities. During a four-day on-site application workshop, finep facilitated a structured process to assess needs, define project goals, and plan appropriate measures. This was followed by a three-day indicator training, methodologically linked to the workshop, through which a robust system for impact-oriented project management and monitoring was developed together with the partner team. The combination of expert facilitation and close collaboration with the partner organisation resulted in a convincing and practical project proposal aimed at sustainably enhancing inclusion and child protection in South Africa.

„The proposal workshop facilitated by finep, including indicator training, was methodically well thought out and practical. This enabled our local partner organization to strengthen its impact-oriented planning - and a well-founded project proposal was developed together. “
