Since 2019, the Neckar-Odenwald district has been one of 14 organic model regions. finep previously supported the district in developing the concept. In 2023, the steering committee, led by the regional manager, decided that organic stakeholders from the region needed a prominent forum to raise their profile locally. To this end, an organic market day was planned, featuring tasting stands, information lectures, and a programme for the general public.
finep supported the regional manager and steering committee in developing the concept and took on the facilitation of the entire Organic Market Day programme. The event began with a panel discussion with Agriculture Minister Peter Hauk, Demeter farmer Frank Fellmann, Selma Troißler of the organic bakery Fritze Beck, and District Administrator Dr. Achim Brötel. The premiere of the Organic Market Day in 2023 was a great success. Encouraged by the strong response, the regional organic actors decided to repeat the event in 2024, with finep once more providing facilitation.
