Kick-off workshop and support to project management for an EU-FFPA program

The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) has been promoting cooperative social entrepreneurship since 1895 and today unites around 300 cooperative organizations from almost 100 countries under one roof. As part of the EU-funded global program “People-centred businesses for sustainable, democratic, and inclusive development”, ICA is committed to strengthening the cooperative sector worldwide. The complexity of the global program necessitated a comprehensive introduction at the start of the project and the structured integration of the regional offices operating decentrally on all continents.
finep has already supported the organization in the application process and, after approval, in the launch of the global program to promote the cooperative sector. finep designed and facilitated a four-day kick-off meeting of the global consortium of regional offices in Brussels to sharpen project results, discuss long-term effects and jointly go through the EU financial rules and project management requirements. In addition, a financial monitoring tool was developed and made available. finep will provide advice on financial and technical project monitoring for the entire duration of the project and will facilitate further consortium meetings.
